Three Sampling Techniques
Choose from simple, stratified, or systematic.
Simple – Take a simple random sample of your data. You can specify the sample size as a number or percentage.
Systematic – The systematic technique lets you sample in a specified interval. For example, sample every fifth entry.
Stratified – Stratified sampling focuses on certain sections of your data. Pick a column in your data to stratify and gain more control over the output.
Three Output Options
Indicate your sample in one of three ways.
New worksheet – Place your sample on a new worksheet, keeping the original data untouched.
Add a column with an indicator – Keep the original data untouched, but add a column to the right with an indicator for each sampled row.
Highlight in place – Add yellow highlighting to each sampled row.

How do I solve the Permission Denied error code?
The error message “We’re sorry, a server error occurred while reading from storage. Error code PERMISSION_DENIED.” occurs when a user is logged into multiple Google accounts. Log out of all other Google accounts, restart your browser, and start the add-on again.
How do I use the add-on with my iPad?
Open your Google Sheet in the Safari web browser instead of Chrome or the Sheets mobile app. If you still do not see the full version of Google Sheets, go to Settings, then Safari, and select Request desktop website. Toggle this setting to on.
